photoinactivation of extracellular phosphatases

A new external pagepaper from our group has appeared on the photoinactivation of extracellular phosphatases. The key findings are that tryptophan appears to be the critical amino acid residue responsible for the direct inactivation pathway and that photodamage to the tryptophan residues can be slowed by the antioxidant action of natural organic matter.
